The unique and innovative project “Creating Livable Spaces for Children and Families,” initiated by the innovative mayor of Rezvanshahr, Dr. Reza Rasouli, and technically and scientifically supported by the Urban Innovation Studio of the Mammute Accelerator, has been selected by the jury of the Urban 95 Academy program at the London School of Economics as one of the top ten projects, and the team was awarded a scholarship to participate in the in-person program.

The main goal of this innovative project is to create an integrated and interconnected network of child-friendly places and safe mobility routes that enhance the presence and participation of children and people with special needs (including persons with disabilities) in the city, while also expanding local small businesses and event-based urban activities.

This practical idea is based on the 15-minute city approach, connected city principles, and placemaking, and is grounded in scientific studies by experts from the Mammute Urban Innovation Studio. The project was developed under the supervision and mentorship of professors such as Philipp Rode and Savvas Verdis within the Urban 95 Academy program at the London School of Economics.

About Rezvanshahr Urban Branding

Urban branding focused on discovering local identity

The Mammute team initiated a comprehensive process for Rezvanshahr urban branding with a focus on uncovering its local identity. Through collective intelligence and dialogue with citizens, the cultural and social characteristics of the city were identified.

Ultimately, by integrating these values and local assets into visual elements, a unified visual identity for Rezvanshahr was created to enhance the city’s positioning and provide a foundation for business growth and sustainable development.

Rezvanshahr, the birthplace of the Caspian horse, is a centuries-old city in the Talysh region. It lies at the intersection of mountains, forests, plains, and the sea, offering a unique combination of rural life and urban facilities. Due to its proximity to the Caspian Sea, the Shafarud River, and surrounding highlands, it presents a distinctive lifestyle blend.

These identity-based features, along with hosting one of the most authentic horse breeds in the world, have made Rezvanshahr a unique destination for tourists.

After a very difficult year of conflict, economic pressure, and uncertainty in Iran, local communities need hope, visibility, and spaces of life more than ever. For this reason, we are organizing Let Ramin Speak First, a voluntary 5-day community placemaking lab in Ramin, the origin of surfing in Iran, before bringing its story to Placemaking Week Europe 2026 in Wrocław.From 25 to 29 August, we will work with the local library, surfing club, youth, women, and activists on beach cleaning, improving and painting the surfboard container, providing useful facilities for the library and surfing club, documenting local stories, and preparing Ramin’s own message for Wrocław.

Many executives mistakenly associate digital transformation with purchasing new software or automating a handful of operational processes. In reality, 360-Degree Digital Transformation is a strategic, enterprise-wide approach that digitally integrates every dimension of an organization—from marketing and customer engagement to internal operations, supply chain management, finance, and human resources.Within this model, technology is not introduced as an external add-on or temporary fix. Instead, it becomes embedded within the very DNA of the business.
